Day Three: Monday, June 14, 2010

Day Three: Monday, June 14, 2010

Off to the gym without Christine. Met with the yearbook kids at 10. It actually looks like I will be having five going to Long Beach. Isn't it amazing how quickly things can cange? From no editors to a wealth of them.

Today was filled with errands. Even got a hair cut.

Day Two: Sunday, June 13, 2010

Day Two: Sunday, June 13, 2010

I took Zoe at 5:30 for her to catch her plane back to LA.

This will undoubtedly be a recovery day from all of yesterday's events. Christine stayed home and I went to church.
Wayne preached on James 1:2-12 and I really enjoyed staying for second hour.

Back home in the afternoon.

Day One: Saturday, June 12, 2010

Day One: Saturday, June 12, 2010
Summer 2010 got off to a rousing start with a very busy day.

Bike ride to Gubitzes.
At nine I climbed on the bike headed over to meet Gary somewhere on Main in Orangevale.
I went down Sunset and hit nearly 37 mph on the hill past Phoenix field and met Gary right at Madison and Main at a bit over seven miles. From there we went down Main to Central to Santa whatever it is that eventually turns into Barton. The whole ride was about 15 miles including the half mile I added just to make it a full 15.

Christine and Sarah had already driven there to continue with catering preparations and eventually Stuart, Renee, and Sara arrived to help with their part of the preparations

World Cup: USA v. England

The game was a great one. England scored in less than four minutes. And then before half we got the equalizer when the England goalie Greene had a soft shot bounce of his hands into the goal.

A huge mistake at any level of soccer. USA and Altidore had a great look in the second half but it barely bounced off the near post. At any rate we were lucky to escape with a 1-1 tie.

Catering the Wedding
At about 5 I drove up to the house in American Rive Canyon Estates that was the location of the Wertheim wedding catered by Bubbles and Squeek catering.
